Woman charged with possession of heroin

A Lexington Park woman has been charged with possession of a CDS — not marijuana — after being found with a substance suspected to be heroin and related paraphernalia.

A search of the motor vehicle by K9 units revealed the passenger, Anna Drue Mizak, 27, of Lexington Park, was in possession of suspected heroin, hypodermic needles, and a spoon with suspected heroin residue.

Mizak was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center. A standard search of Mizak revealed another baggie of suspected heroin.

Mizak was charged with Possession of CDS: Not Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Contraband. CASE#: 41624-16
