On Dec. 30 at 10:07 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Berry Road and Bunker Hill Road in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle collision.

Investigation revealed a Waldorf VFD fire truck was stopped in a left turn lane on

Berry Road to turn onto Bunker Hill Road when the driver of a Lexus lost control and struck the rear of the fire truck. The Lexus continued into the roadway and was struck by a pick-up truck before coming to a stop. A fourth vehicle struck the pick-up.

The driver of the Lexus was extricated from her vehicle and flown to Prince George’s Hospital Center where she was admitted. All other parties involved were treated at area hospitals with non life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic Operations Unit is handling the investigation.
