On June 9, at 3 p.m., Deputies responded to a business parking lot in Lexington Park for the report of an assault.
Investigation by Cpl. Connelly revealed the 39-year-old male victim was involved in a verbal dispute with Nicole A. Kelly, 23 of Lexington Park, over a cell phone. Kelly then proceeded to place a lit cigarette on the back of the victim’s neck.
Kelly was placed under arrest, charged with second-degree assault and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
