Woman Shot And Flown To Trauma Center After Following Argument At Super 8 Motel In Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. — A 39-year-old woman was shot and injured during an altercation at a motel in Waldorf, Maryland, on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2024.

The incident occurred around 11:41 a.m. at the Super 8 motel located at 3550 Crain Highway. Police and emergency responders arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her leg on the third floor of the establishment.

Due to the nature of her injuries, the woman was airlifted by a U.S. Park Police helicopter to a nearby trauma center. Officials stated her injuries were not life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the shooting.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.

    Put the gun down , the person who pulled the trigger does not use discretion thus making them a threat to others …
