Lusby, MD – A fight between two women in Lusby resulted in one woman being stabbed and transported to a local trauma center.

On Wednesday, Jan. 7 at about 7:55 p.m. Prince Frederick police officers were notified of a reported fight between two females.  When troopers arrived they found a woman, identified as 19-year-old Kayla Wallace,  suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper chest and lower abdominal area as well as another woman, 20-year-old Hali Gribble, with non-life threatening injures.

Both women were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.  Wallace was later transported to a local trauma center for further treatment but her injuries are not life threatening at this time.

Investigators from Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, Central South Region responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.  MSP Crime Scene Technician from MSP Forensic Science Division also responded to process the scene.

Through several investigative leads, a 16 year old female of Lusby was identified as the suspect in the stabbing.  The juvenile was located at her residence and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for further questioning.  She was subsequently charged with First Degree Assault and Second Degree Assault and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
