At 5:49 p.m. Jan. 13, TFC J. Edelen of the LaPlata barrack responded to the Home Depot in Waldorf for a theft report.
Investigation revealed that Hazel Jean Leister, 37, of Bowie, attempted to steal approximately $800 worth of merchandise from the store.
Leister was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She was subsequently charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
