Hollywood, MD— On July 8, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Cpl. O’Connor responded to St.John’s Road in Hollywood for a possible burglary in progress.ย

When O’Connor arrived on the scene contact was made with the complainant, who advised that the property belonged to his uncle. He also advised, “the victim had suffered a stroke and was in the nursing home in Great Mills,” according to charging documents.ย

He (victim) was no longer able to reside at this location, the complainant advisedย he had come by approximately two weeks ago to go through more of the victim’s belongings and no one was inside the residence.ย

On July 8, he (complainant) noticed that the grass on the left side of the residence had been pressed down by a vehicle’s tire. He then saw that the window unit in the rear bedroom was running. He backed out of the driveway and called ย the police.ย

When the police arrived they opened the door and, “discovered a female laying in the bed. She advised that this was Rodney Taylor’s house and he said she could stay here,” according to charging documents. ย ย

O’Connor smelled the odor of marijuana coming from within the house. Initially the female advised her name was Christina Bulter, however, she later gave police her correct name. The female was identified as Tina M. Tippett, 27 of Lexington Park.ย

O’Connor asked if she was going to find anything on Tippett’s person when she performed a search. Tippett advised, “she had taken a bag of clean hypodermic needles out of his (Taylor) truck when she got out,” according to charging documents.ย

A quick check of the needles revealed a needle which had been used, which had a brownish liquid residue inside of it. Tippett was placed under arrest and transported to the St.Mary’s County Detention Center, where she was charged with fourth-degree burglary -dwelling, and two counts CDS possession- not marijuana.ย

At this time Tippett does not have a court date set. Tippett faces a maximum jail sentence of 11 years and or a maximum fine of $55,500 if she is guilty of the alleged charges against her.
