Theft โ€“ On April 18, 2015, Deputy Knott responded to the California Walmart for a reported theft. A loss prevention employee alleged suspect Katherine Marie Higgs (above), age 37, of Avenue,entered the self-checkout with a cart full of merchandise. She scanned and paid for a few of the items then attempted to leave the store with entire cart of merchandise. The value of the stolen items was over $130.00. Higgs was charged with Theft Under $1,000 by criminal citation.

Theft/Drug Possession โ€“ On April 19, 2015, Corporal Seyfried responded to the California Walmart for a reported theft. A loss prevention employee reported suspects Patricia Josephine Fields (right), age 23, of Leonardtown, and Amber Renne Stewart (left), age 24, of Lusby, stole items of merchandise from the business. They concealed the items and had passed all points of sale when they were stopped by loss prevention. The total value of merchandise was over $80.00. During a search conducted after their arrest, both suspects were found to be in possession of hypodermic needles used to inject heroin. Fields and Stewart were transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and charged with Theft Under $100 and Possession Paraphernalia.
