LEONARDTOWN, Md. – We would like to invite all women veterans who are interested in kayaking to join us for a special event. Operation Second Chance and Team River Runner are collaborating to host this event exclusively for women veterans who want to learn how to kayak or for those who are avid kayakers. The event will take place on Saturday, May 18th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Lake.
During this event, you can enjoy the calm waters, paddle, and meet other women veterans while having a complimentary lunch. Team River Runner will provide all the kayaking equipment, but you are welcome to bring your own equipment if you prefer. You will also learn more about two great organizations, Team River Runner and Operation Second Chance (OSC), and how they positively impact Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, and their families.
