On March 16, at 6:05 p.m., Richard Frank Powell, 24 of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. J. S. Gibson for Second-Degree Assault.
Tpr. Gibson responded to the 38000 block of Cooney Neck Road in Mechanicsville for a Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 20 of Mechanicsville, who advised she was assaulted by Powell.
Both parties were interviewed and Powell was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
