EDGEWATER, Md. — A 23-year-old Edgewater man died early Friday after a single-vehicle crash along Solomons Island Road.
Emergency personnel responded at approximately 2:05 a.m. Feb. 20, 2026, to a reported collision on Solomons Island Road near Poplar Point Road. Due to the severity of the operator’s injuries, the AACPD Crash Reconstruction Team was requested to assist at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling south on Solomons Island Road, south of East Road, when for unknown reasons the vehicle left the roadway, entered the center median and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as Brian Vincent Yetter, 23, of Edgewater, was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
