On Jan. 13 at 6:25 a.m., officers working a traffic assignment in the 13000 block of Plantation Drive in Charlotte Hall, observed a 1994 Ford Aerostar being driven on the wrong side of the roadway.
A traffic stop was initiated and officers learned the driver was 15-years-old. Investigation revealed the youth was driving to his school bus stop and that his mother gave him permission to operate the vehicle which was unregistered and uninsured.
Officers towed the vehicle and the youth was sent to school. Charges are pending the outcome of an investigation.
