LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — A 4-year-old girl and a 36-year-old woman were flown to trauma centers Thursday night after a vehicle overturned in a crash near Pegg Road and Three Notch Road in Lexington Park.
The crash was reported around 8:00 p.m. May 28, 2026. Police advised that a vehicle had flipped. Fire and EMS crews later reported a single-vehicle crash involving multiple occupants, with no entrapment.
Two patients were evaluated for possible transport by helicopter. The 4-year-old girl and 36-year-old woman were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s County Regional Airport to meet medevac helicopters. One occupant signed a care refusal on scene.
Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 transported the child to Children’s National Hospital. U.S. Park Police Eagle 1 transported the woman to UM Capital Region Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
