MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A 75-year-old man was airlifted Friday morning after falling off a barn in Mechanicsville.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 11:28 a.m. on June 26, 2026, to the 27200 block of Baptist Church Road for a fall with advanced life support requested. The incident was reported near Burning Oaks Drive and Burning Oaks Lane.

St. Mary’s County Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene, including medical and fire units from the Mechanicsville area. A helicopter was requested shortly after dispatch, and a landing zone was established at Real Life Church.

Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 landed shortly after and airlifted the patient to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment.
