MSP TROOPER 7 at Medstar St. Mary's Hospital

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – A 21-year-old man was airlifted to a trauma center Wednesday afternoon, May 21, 2025, following a multi-vehicle collision involving an all-terrain vehicle on Three Notch Road near Park Hall Road in Lexington Park.

The crash occurred around 1:25 p.m. and involved multiple vehicles. Emergency responders requested a medevac for the male patient, who was classified as a Priority 1 due to the severity of his injuries.

The patient was transported by ambulance to the St. Mary’s County Regional Airport and flown by Maryland State Police Aviation Command’s Trooper 2 to Baltimore Shock Trauma Center.

A second patient on the scene declined further medical care after signing a refusal of treatment.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office advised drivers to avoid the area due to road closures and traffic congestion. Delays and detours were expected to continue for at least an hour following the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
