Chesapeake Beach, MD ย – One frequenter of Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spaโ€™s outdoor summer extravaganza was amazed at the crowded dance floor during the Sunday, Aug. 30 performance by the legendary Washington, DC area band the No Where Men.

The group, which originated during the mid-1960s, played many youth venues during that timeโ€”school and teen club dances throughout the Metro area. Today, the nine-member group blends brass, electric guitars, keyboards, drums and the vocals and recaptures the great sounds of the late 1960s and early-to mid-1970s.

Their repertoire of covers includes Chicago, The Temptations, Tower of Power and Jackie Wilson. The No Where Men also performed a variety of Memphis soul, classic late 1960s instrumentals, as well as their medleys of The Four Tops, Doobie Brothers and Grass Roots.

โ€œIt was a blast to play for so many dancers,โ€ the group stated on their Facebook page following the four-hour show.

The Aug. 30 show was the No Where Menโ€™s third appearance this summer for the 2015 โ€œRock the Dockโ€ season at Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa. After a show Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival, which includes the Miss Greenbelt Pageant, the group will be back at the Chesapeake Beach band shell the following dayโ€”Labor Day 2015โ€”for a 3 to 7 p.m. show.

โ€œRock the Dockโ€ features live entertainment every night. On Thursday, Sept. 3, a performance by Slippery When Wet, a Bon Jovi tribute band, is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
