Leonardtown, MD โ The National Weather Service reports St. Mary’s County can expect to experience wind gusts of up to 65 mph. Winds are expected to ramp up between 2 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
If the storm reaches an intensity where the continuation of operations would prove ineffective or pose an undue safety risk for County personnel, contractors and/or the traveling public, operations may be temporarily suspended until weather conditions improve.
Winds speeds are monitored by the State Highway Administration on the Thomas Johnson Bridge, which may result in the implementation of restrictions which may include limiting or ceasing traffic flow across the bridge.ย ย ย ย
