BALTIMORE โ€“ With less than one month until the Democratic gubernatorial primary, Jim Shea announced today that he is commencing a statewide tour of Maryland. Shea and his running mate, Baltimore City Councilman Brandon Scott, will cover the entire state, and between them will visit each of the stateโ€™s 24 jurisdictions in the weeks leading up to the election.

โ€œBrandon and I are committed to investing in Marylandโ€™s future and ensuring that no Marylander is forgotten,โ€ said Shea. โ€œThe problems facing us all, and the policies to address them โ€“ improving education, fixing our transportation nightmare, growing our economy, and improving our public health and safety โ€“ are needed across Maryland.ย  When we get to the Governorโ€™s Office, we will work diligently to bridge our divides and create a safe and prosperous future for all Marylanders wherever they live.โ€

While traveling across the state, Jim Shea and Brandon Scott will campaign for votes at different types of locations and at a variety of events. They will attend candidate forums, Democratic Party dinners and club meetings, and campaign-sponsored meet and greets, among other events. They will also make stops at local businesses and important locations throughout the state that will inform their work when they become Governor and Lt. Governor, along with media interviews and their other campaign regular activities, such as televised debates.

The candidates will update their Facebook and Twitter (@SheaForMD and @CouncilmanBMS) followers from the road and at interesting locations throughout the state.
