Detectives from Annapolis Police Department (APD) are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a Calvert County man that occurred Monday afternoon, April 22 on Victor Parkway. Officers responded to a report of a possible shooting and found the victim in a vehicle. He had been shot and died at the scene.  The victim was identified as John Donnel Ray, 32 of Huntingtown. According to Detective Rick Truitt, investigators believe several people witnessed the incident and are being asked to come forward and provide police with information. Truitt said the murder appears to be “narcotic-related.” Anyone with information about the death of John Ray is asked to contact Detective Charles Bealefeld at 443-986-5561.

Detectives from APD are also investigating the deaths of two Lusby men found April 21 in a vehicle in the 1200 block of Forest Drive. Dispatchers received a report of two unconscious men in a vehicle at a gas station.  When officers arrived they discovered the two men inside the vehicle were dead. The bodies were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. The investigation into the deaths is ongoing, however preliminary investigations indicate a possible narcotics overdose. Truitt stated that there are indications the drug involved may have been heroin. The men were subsequently identified as John Paul Hunter, 32 and Michael Lee Skirvin III. Detectives from Annapolis Police Department (APD) are investigating a homicide that occurred Monday afternoon, April 22 in the 200 block of Victor Parkway. Officers responded to a report of a possible shooting and found the adult male victim in a vehicle in the 200 block of Victor Parkway.  The victim had been shot and died at the scene.  The victim in this case has been identified as 32 year old John Donnel Ray of the 4600 block of Rolling Hill Road, Huntingtown.
