The presidential debates have – at last! – come to an end. No matter who the winners and losers were, the debates are over and now the voters must make a choice. We were treated to some pretty disgraceful bickering behavior on the part of the participants which encompassed finger-pointing, the smirks of Vice-President Joe Biden, and the blatant favoritism of moderator Candy Crowley. (Ms. Crowley jumped in to declare Mr. Obama to be correct as she interrupted Mr. Romney. The thing is, she was wrong! And she managed to secure at least three extra minutes for Mr. Obama to speak that night). As a moderator, she clearly failed to provide balance. I enjoy reading the Washington Post’s “Worst Week in Washington” column by Chris Cillizza each week. His article on Sunday, October 21 pretty much sums up the overall tenor of the debates: “…Rudeness ruled!”. Blessedly, both the President and Mr. Romney exhibited much more civilized verbal and non-verbal behavior during this past Monday night’s debate.

-The National Vietnam and Gulf War Veterans Coalition has endorsed Tony O’Donnell for the U.S. House of Representatives for Maryland’s Fifth Congressional District, citing his leadership and patriotism. This organization represents over 250,000 veterans, family members and supporters.
