A Mechanicsville man has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty to Driving or Attempting to Drive While Under the Influence of Alcohol. The incident occurred on Route 234 in Chaptico.ย  No one on the bus was seriously injured in the accident.

According to the Maryland Judiciary Search website, Kravats was also fined $110 for failure to yield the right of way. Three other changes, including Negligent Driving, were nolle prossed by the state. The case was heard in St. Maryโ€™s County District Court before Judge Christy Holt Chesser.

Kravats was given credit towards the one-year jail sentence for the time he has been in jail since the incident.
