Peyton I. Scott

Lexington Park, MD— On June 17, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Potter responded to St. Lo Place in Lexington Park for the report of an argument.

When Potter arrived on the scene, he made contact with the defendant and the victim. The defendant, who was identified as Peyton I. Scott, 20 of Clinton, told the victim, “if he did not leave she would smash out the windows of his vehicle,” Potter stated in charging documents.ย 

The victim did not exit the residence and Scott, “proceeded to destroy each of the windows of the victim’s vehicle,” according to charging documents.

Scott used a piece of a steering wheel locking mechanism to strike each of the windows of the gold Chrysler. The damage to the vehicle is approximatey $1,500.

When questioned about the damage, Scott admitted to having destroyed the windows. She also had a hard time nailing down an address she would be going to once she left the victim’s residence.

Scott was arrested and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, where she was charged with malicious destruction of property less than $1,000.

At this time Scott does not have a scheduled court date. Scott faces a maximum jail sentence of three years and/or a maximum fine of $2,500.
