Commuters coming home from the District during Tuesday’s rush hour were treated to a gorgeous rainbow arching clearly across the southeastern sky.
The nasty drizzle cleared in the west as the sun set; and the resulting golden sunset shone through the rain continuing lightly in the east.
The primary bow and its faint double waxed and waned for about 20 minutes. Definitely one of the earth’s coolest tricks.
