At 3:04 a.m. April 24, Trooper Long of the Leonardtown barrack responded to Willows Road, Lexington Park, for a reported disturbance.
Investigation revealed that the victim had been slapped numerous times by the suspect, Katie Lynn Barickman, 25, of Lexington Park.
The police were contacted after Barickman began choking the victim.
Barickman was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
She was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
