On January 19th, 2007, a team of St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Office Deputies conducted specific pro-active enforcement in the CSAFE area of Lexington Park.
As a result of the efforts more than fifty street contacts were made. Twenty vehicle stops were conducted that led to an arrest for driving while suspended and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. One suspect was arrested at a local bar for an open warrant. One suspect was arrested for indecent exposure when he was found consuming alcoholic beverages and urinating in the parking lot of an establishment.
Additionally, while conducting a patrol check, the team members located a Suspect attempting to sell a controlled dangerous substance to two individuals. He was found to have crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana on his person and the packaging indicated the intent for sale.
Six illegal aliens were identified as well. Five of the illegals were from Mexico and one was from China. That information will be forwarded to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The St. Maryโs County Sheriffโs Office will continue to identify problem areas throughout the county and utilize these same pro-active measures of enforcement in the future.
