LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A familiar holiday melody takes on a distinctly Southern Maryland feel in “A Blue Last Christmas,” a festive new Christmas 2025 video release that blends music, local landmarks and community spirit into a heartfelt seasonal tribute.
Released this week on YouTube, the video features performances by Robbie Boothe II, Donovan Farrell, Phillip Michael Parsons, Donald Quade, Tara Rae, Wes Ryce, LaKeisha Smith, and Brandi Sydnor, delivering a soulful take on the holiday classic with a regional twist.
The project was filmed, edited and color-corrected by Ed Winson Delmoro of Winson Media, whose cinematic style ties together live music, sweeping visuals and atmospheric drone footage. The song was mixed and mastered by Robby Wilson.
Several recognizable Southern Maryland locations appear throughout the video, including The Rex Theatre, Cryer’s Back Road Inn, Lord Calvert Bowling Center, Waldorf Roller Skate, and scenes filmed around the Town of Leonardtown.
The video also features appearances by the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, along with a lineup of classic vehicles that add a nostalgic holiday touch — including a 1960 Thunderbird, a 1986 Mustang, a 1977 Corvette, a 1992 Camaro, and more.
Additional creative contributions came from Regan Coombs and Connor Thrasher, with photography support from Nutter Photography and audio support from WTG Sound and WesSide Sound.
Following the release, Farrell thanked viewers for the overwhelming support and highlighted the behind-the-scenes teamwork that made the project possible.
“These videos take countless all-nighters,” Farrell said, giving special thanks to his wife, Catrina Farrell, and to Liza G. Delmoro, who helped hold things together at home while the creative team worked through late nights.
The song is available as a free download via Donovan Farrell’s website, continuing a tradition of sharing holiday music with the community.
With its blend of music, nostalgia and hometown pride, “A Blue Last Christmas” stands as a seasonal love letter to Southern Maryland — and a reminder that holiday magic often starts right at home.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
