At 1:47 p.m. Dec. 4, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 9000 block of Dubois Road in Charlotte Hall for the report of an attempted burglary.
Investigation revealed the suspects attempted to gain entry to the residence but fled when the residents discovered them.
The victims provided officers with a description of the suspects’ vehicle, an old, gray Cadillac with Florida tags.
On Dec. 5, Sgt. J. Carlson observed the vehicle speeding on Charles Street near Keech Road and conducted a traffic stop. Officers learned the driver was suspended and the tag on the vehicle was expired.
Officers recovered property from the burglary, as well as property from the burglary of a residence in the 13600 block of Charles Street on Dec. 5, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Officers identified the suspects as Charles Anthony Gegor, 29, of Mechanicsville, Robert Glenn Brown, Jr., 30, of Waldorf, and Casey Lynn Richmond, 22, of Charlotte Hall.
They were arrested and charged with burglary, theft valued at more than $500, theft valued at less than $500, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner. Officer J. Johnson investigated.
