According to the Calvert County Sheriffs Office, “5th Street at Mary Ann Drive in Owings is now re-opened.”

Owings, MD – At 7:30 a.m. the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office reports that 5th Street at Mary Ann Drive in Owings is closed in both directions due to a working house fire and emergency equipment in the roadway. Motorists should avoid the area until further notice.
The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department reports that crews have a working basement fire with extension to the second floor and attic. Authorities expect to be on the scene for several hours.
