CALIFORNIA, Md. – Shopping at Aldi this summer will cost a little less as the grocery chain helps fight inflation.
Aldi announced it is dropping prices on more than 240 items that include picnic and BBQ essentials, travel snacks and more.
“ALDI is always looking for ways to help customers save money, but with more experts warning of persistent inflation, the time was right to deliver even greater discounts on our already low prices for the second year in a row,” said Dave Rinaldo, President at ALDI U.S. in a press release.
Aldi hopes to save shoppers close to $100 million by offering these discounts. Last year, Aldi held a similar campaign and reportedly saved shoppers over $60 million.
“We don’t want food prices to hold people back from getting together with friends and family or spending time outdoors this season.”

Let’s be clear- they aren’t lowering prices to help inflation- they are lowering prices because we’ve caught on that it is corporate greed and CEO pay that is the cause of high prices, NOT inflation. Don’t believe me? Look at the profits and CEO pay for 5 major corporations for yourself. Also, with a majority of companies owning most products, there is limited competition ergo, more profits. Anyone that says it’s inflation isn’t paying attention.
Slo’ Joe says ‘no inflation’ because of Bidenomics. Just remember to ‘Buy Chinese’ and everything will be fine.
