PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — After months of anticipation, Always Ice Cream has announced the grand opening date for its newest location in the Armory Square Shopping Center in Prince Frederick on their Facebook page. The grand opening will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. Locals are invited to come to the opening and take advantage of the all-day-long 50% off promo.
The newest Always Ice Cream is located at 459 N. Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick. The store hasn’t officially posted their hours yet, but other Always Ice Cream locations are open 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 10 p.m. on weekends.
Always is an Annapolis-based ice cream company focused on serving up premium, homemade ice cream and creating unique new flavors. Shops rotate 200–250 flavors and offer gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. This will be the first Always Ice Cream in Calvert County — current stores are in Edgewater, Crofton, Annapolis and Severna Park.
On top of ice cream, Always serves cakes, cheesecakes and pies, all swirled with ice cream. They’re currently taking orders for holiday pies, with exciting options like apple pie, banana pudding pie, pumpkin pie and more.
Armory Square began construction in 2024 and has brought with it countless businesses of all sizes that have recently opened or will be opening soon. In recent months, Prince Frederick residents have welcomed ALDI, Foster’s Grille and Michaels, with more to come.
