At 12:30 pm, on Tuesday, February 6, TFC Nims was patrolling in the area of Rt. 246 and Shangri La Dr. in Lexington Park when he observed a red Dodge Intrepid. A MVA check on the registration plate revealed the tag was reported stolen to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department.
A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Charles Robert Davis, 39, of Lexington Park. Contact was made with the Sheriff’s Department and it was confirmed the tags were stolen in October 2006. Mr. Davis was arrested for possession of stolen property and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
