View works of art inspired by, made with, and celebrating plants at From Plants to Needlework, a show staged by local artists and crafters to benefit the horticulture programs at Historic St. Maryโs City (HSMC).ย The exhibition will take place on Sunday and Monday, May 19 & 20, from 10 a.m. โ 4 p.m. in the State House of 1667 (47418 Old State House Road).ย Admission to the show is $15.ย
See exquisite Japanese embroidery by Jeanne Chandler and a colorful Baltimore album quilt by Leona Unkle.ย See driftwood come to life in Larry Ringgoldโs full-sized horse sculpture. The show will take place in conjunction with HSMCโs annual Garden Market, which also supports horticulture at the museum.ย Shop local vendors for annuals, perennials, and unique garden paraphernalia.ย The Market will be located on the State House green.ย
Expressions of St. Maryโs will offer delectable sandwiches, snacks, and drinks on site from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.ย
