LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — The Navy’s Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO (U&W)) awarded Ausley Associates, Inc. a prime contract to provide support to Weapons (W) Systems Program Management Activity (PMA). Ausley is one of five primes selected as part of a five-year Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Contract (MAC) with an estimated aggregate ceiling of $210,710,000 available to pursue competitive task orders. Ausley will compete for the task orders against four other primes to support weapons systems program objectives in delivering superior services for:
- Program/Project Management
- Configuration/Data Management
- Change Management
- Risk Management
- Business Management
- Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Efforts
- Acquisition Management
- Security
- Government Furnished Information/ Equipment (GFI/GFE) Management
- Operations Activities
The PEO (W) award is Ausley’s sixth prime award with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), thus adding to the company’s success in providing full life cycle program support to NAVAIR PMAs. This award, combined with the prime PEO Unmanned (U) Systems award, puts Ausley squarely in its core competency. The new contract continues Ausley’s weapons system presence and enables Ausley to competitively grow and achieve success in other program offices.
“We are honored to be a critical partner of a larger NAVAIR team that supports the acquisition and sustainment of equipment for our nation’s Navy and Marine Corps to meet current and future warfighting requirements,” said Scott Sanders, Ausley’s president.
PEO(U&W) oversees the Navy’s weapons programs, including Precision Strike Weapons (PMA-201), Aerial Target and Decoy Systems (PMA-208), Direct and Time Sensitive Strike (PMA-242), Tomahawk Weapons System (PMA-280) and Strike Planning and Execution Systems (PMA-281).
“As a prime contractor for PMA-281, Ausley provides development, integration, testing, fielding and life cycle support to strike planning and execution systems for warfighter use,” said Wendy Lee, Ausley’s vice president of business development and strategic operations. “Ausley has been integral to developing PMA-281’s milestone documentation for Acquisition Category (ACAT) decisions and has provided senior engineering support to the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Capabilities Development Document (CDD) for NexGen Mission Planning system (MPS) and CDD for the Common Control System
(CCS). We have been part of PMA-281 for just over 12 months as part of a five-year prime win and are pleased to have the opportunity to expand into other program offices with this win.”
The platforms supported by this contract provide unguided and precision-guided weapons designed to engage hostile targets and reduce collateral damage in day/night and all- weather scenarios. The contract also includes threat representative aerial targets for fleet training and weapons systems test and evaluation and realistic decoys of strike aircraft to deceive and saturate enemy Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS). The contract’s platforms include, but are not limited to:
- Joint Stand-Off Weapon (JSOW)
- Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)
- Standoff Land Attack Missile Expanded Range (SLAM-ER)
- Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS)
