CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — The 7-Eleven located next to the new Weis Markets at 29930 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall is set to close on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, as staff point to issues with the site’s fuel tanks.

When The BayNet visited the location, employees said the underground tanks are “bad,” leading to the decision to shut down the store.

A notice posted at the store confirms the April 29 closing date and states that reduced pricing is being offered on items as the location prepares to shut down. Throughout the store, customers can already see discounts and reduced prices as inventory is cleared ahead of the closure.

The location, which sits along the busy Route 235 corridor, has served as a convenient stop for fuel, snacks and everyday essentials for residents and commuters in the Charlotte Hall area.

Staff told The BayNet they are being relocated to other 7-Eleven locations, with no expected job losses tied to the shutdown.

    1. Fyi, that’s not the 235 corridor. It’s rt 5. 235 starts at tge Wawa farther south.

  1. I mean, there are only what? 10-11 gas stations within a 2 mile radius in the north end?

  2. This location was terrible anyways! I worked overnight in that area for years and every single time i would come by overnight, they were closed and locked up. I thought 7-11s were meant to be 24H

  3. AND Are THEY gonna be the ones to clean up those tanks (pull them out and put the site back to a usable property??!) Are they gonna clean up all the fuel that’s already likely leaked out? Or is this gonna be yet another Superfund site the taxpayers have to clean up. Enough with the corporate welfare and irresponsibility. They wanted to stick one of these Right next to the middle school in Ltown a few years ago. This crap needs to stop.
