Badges For Basketball To Return On June 30

GREAT MILLS, Md. – The St. Mary’s State’s Attorney’s Office has announced that the Badges for Basketball program is set to return for the second year in a row on June 30, 2024, at Greenview Knoll Elementary School.

In collaboration with the Basketball Breakfast Club and the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, Badges for Basketball will be a “morning of basketball, fun, and community engagement.”

“It’s an opportunity for kids to develop their basketball skills and interact with local law enforcement officers and prosecutors in a positive and engaging environment,” said the State’s Attorney’s Office.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will go on until 11:30 a.m. Ages 6-14 are welcome and there is no cost to attend, however, pre-registration is required. For more information, email: Jessika.hall@st. maryscountymd.gov.
