On a wild night in Waldorf, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs swept a doubleheader over the Bridgeport Bluefish with two, walk-off victories in the bottom of the 7th inning at Regency Furniture Stadium. The Crabs erased three-run deficits in each game to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Game 1: Southern Maryland 4, Bridgeport 3

Cyle Hankerd delivered a two-out, walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning to complete the comeback for the Blue Crabs and move to 2-0 on the young season.

In the bottom of the 7th, Brian Barton reached with a one-out single and stole second base off reliever Joe Bateman. Two batters later Hankerd singled through the hole between first and second and Barton scored with ease to give the Blue Crabs the victory.

After both starters exchanged scoreless frames through the first four innings, the Bluefish struck first against the Crabs bullpen in the top of the 5th. On the first pitch delivered by Pete Parise, Luis Rodriguez homered over the wall in left-center field to give Bridgeport a 1-0 lead.

Rodriguez was at it again in the 6th inning as he picked up two more RBIs with a two-out, two run single that extended the advantage to 3-0.
