BURGLARY: On July 27 at 5:05 p.m., officers responded to a burglary in the 9200 block of Parkway Subdivision Road in La Plata. Investigation showed the suspect(s) entered the house and stole money and jewelry. PFC J. Campbell is investigating.
THEFT: On July 26, officers responded to the 10000 block of Catalina Place in White Plains for the report of a theft. Investigation showed the owner of the house had been away for a few weeks and he paid an acquaintance to stay at the house. The house sitter allowed friends inside and someone stole six rings and other jewelry. Cpl. C. T. Long is investigating.
ROBBERY: On July 25 at 10:56 p.m., officers responded to the area of Bannister Circle and Goodrick Court in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation showed the victim was in the area to purchase drugs. She indicated her cell phone lost power and she asked to borrow a passerbyโs phone. At that point, the passerby and two other people assaulted the victim and stole her phone. PFC P. Morgan, III is investigating.
ASSAULT: On July 26 at 2 a.m., officers responded to a hotel in the 9300 block of Crain Highway in Bel Alton for the report of an assault. The victim reported a male acquaintance punched her and choked her. The man, James Clifton Johnson, 33, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with assault. PFC W. Halt investigated.
