St. Maryโs and Calvert County police and rescue responders had a busy evening Thursday night, when a rush of vehicle crashes occurred after nightfall.
At 9:15 p.m., two people were hurt in a two car crash on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown. Volunteer firefighters had to free one occupant from a vehicle before ambulances transported two people with non-life threatening injuries.
At 8:11 p.m., police and firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle overturned on Fairgrounds Road in Leonardtown. Volunteer ambulances from Leonardtown and Hollywood responded, but there were no injuries.
At 5:35ย p.m., there was a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on northbound Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville.
Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad ambulance took the injured male to St. Maryโs Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At 5:19 p.m. there was another two-vehicle crash on Three Notch Road, in Oakville. No one was injured.

At 5:13 p.m., police and several fire companies and ambulances were dispatched to a crash at the foot of the Thomas Johnson Bridge, at Patuxent Beach Road, California.
There were reportedly six vehicles involved, but extra ambulances were turned back after it was discovered there were no injuries.
At 5:07 p.m., there was a two-vehicle crash on Chancellors Run Road in Great Mills.
One car was stuck down in a ditch, but luckily no one reported injuries in this crash either.
There were also at least two crashes with possible injuries in Calvert County during the same time frame, with one vehicle reported as overturned.
