PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Calvert County is ready for summer with its brand-new seasonal activity guide.

Calvert County Parks and Recreation released its Summer 2026 Activity Guide this week. The guide serves as the chief resource for Calvert County residents for summer events and activities.

The full guide is available online, and printed copies are available at community centers and public libraries in the county. In past years, copies were mailed to households in the county, but Parks and Recreation discontinued this practice.

Residents will have to log in to the portal to browse activities by name, age range and type, and to register for activities. Parks and Recreation also maintains a calendar of events on its website, and encourages residents to follow it on Facebook for the latest updates on facilities, maintenance and more.

Many of the summer’s activities, like sports, camps and special events, fill up quickly, and Parks and Recreation encourages people to sign up as soon as possible. Most camps and activities have limited spots or are only offered on certain dates, so signing up early is key to making sure you get a spot.

According to its website, the Department of Parks & Recreation is in the business of planning, developing, implementing and professionally managing the parks, programs, policies and procedures, facilities, special events and leisure services established under the leadership of the Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, Parks Administration, and the associated advisory boards of Calvert County.

You can find more information about the department and the activities it offers on its website.
