
HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — The Calvert County Family Network invites service providers to participate in an immersive poverty simulation event on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at The Hall at Huntingtown, located at 4030 Old Town Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639.
This event offers participants a unique opportunity to navigate a month in the life of a household experiencing financial hardship. Attendees will work to secure essential needs such as food and shelter while relying on community resources. Through this simulation, service providers will gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by those living in poverty, fostering a deeper understanding of how policies and practices affect the individuals they serve.
