PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – During the week of April 26 – May 2, deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,546 calls for service throughout the community.

Theft: 2021-21744
On April 26, 2021, Deputy Sturdivant responded to the Weis Market located at 210 Village Center Drive in Lusby, MD for the report of a theft. Contact was made with the complainant who advised an unknown black female, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with long black and gold dreadlocks entered the store with an empty box. The suspect proceeded to place five New York strips, one T-bone steak, and two ribeyes inside the box. The female exited the business without paying for the meat. The value of stolen property is $162.18.

Theft: 2021-21993
On April 27, 2021, Deputy Aranda received report of a theft. The complainant advised her prescription bottle containing 28 Adderall capsules was stolen from the center console of her unlocked vehicle on April 26 between 4:30 and 5 p.m., while parked in the marina parking lot located at 155 Holiday Drive in Solomons, MD. No other items were stolen from the vehicle. The value of stolen property is unknown at this time.

Theft: 2021-22261
On April 28, 2021, Deputy Aley responded to 11500 block of San Rafael Road in Lusby, MD for report of a theft. The complainant advised a black Mongoose BMX bicycle with gold petals was stolen from the property. The value of stolen property is unknown at this time.

Theft: 2021-22498
On April 29, 2021, DFC Aurich responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 10095 Ward Road in Dunkirk, MD for report of a theft. The complainant advised an unknown black male wearing a black mask, blue jacket with a white logo, black pants and white shoes entered the store in the company of a black female wearing a black shirt with a white logo, gray pants with white shoes and long braids in her hair. Upon entering, the suspects pulled out a large shopping bag and filled it up with numerous containers of Dove brand soap and body wash. The suspects exited the store, failing to purchase any of the items and got into a gray, two door sedan with Maryland registration and fled the area. The estimated value of stolen property is $234.00.

Theft: 2021-23132
On May 2, 2021, Deputy Huy responded to the 3000 block of Broomes Island Road in Port Republic, MD for report of a theft. The complainant advised her gray i-Phone 6s was stolen between 6 and 9 p.m. on May 1st from Abner’s located at 3748 Harbor Road in Chesapeake Beach, MD. The total value of stolen property is $100.00.


ARRESTS:

John Michael Harris, 32

On April 27, 2021, Deputy Durnbaugh conducted a traffic stop in the area of Solomons Island Road and Skinners Turn Road in Owings, MD, following a lookout for a vehicle all over the roadway. Upon making contact with the driver, John Michael Harris, 32 of Chesapeake Beach, MD, a grinder was observed to be in plain sight. A search of the vehicle revealed several pills of suspected Alprazolam and Zabsolv in the vehicle. Harris was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.


Stephanie Lyann Boothe, 51

On April 27, 2021, Deputy Shoemaker responded to the 3400 block of Chaneyville Road in Owings, MD for the report of a check welfare. Upon arrival, Deputy Shoemaker observed a vehicle with an individual slumped over the wheel. Deputies attempted to knock on the driver’s side window multiple times before the individual identified as Stephanie Lyann Boothe, 51 of Owings, MD, woke up. Boothe advised Deputy Shoemaker there were drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a $1 bill containing an unknown substance of CDS, a purple container containing suspected crack cocaine, a $10 bill containing suspected heroin, and a glass pipe smoking device containing suspected residue of crack cocaine.  Boothe was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with five counts of CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS- Possession of Paraphernalia and traffic citations for Driving/Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving/Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol, Driving While So Far Impaired by Drugs or Drugs/Alcohol, Driving While Impaired by Controlled Dangerous Substance and Negligent Driving.


Jerry Gilbert Sinkfield, 64

On April 30, 2021, Deputy W. McDowell conducted a traffic stop in the area of southbound Rt. 4 in the area of Lower Marlboro Road in Huntingtown, MD. While making contact with the driver, Jerry Gilbert Sinkfield, 64 of Washington D.C., it was determined Sinkfield’s driving privileges were revoked. Deputy W. McDowell observed a plastic bag with marijuana in plain view. A search of the vehicle revealed a grocery bag containing balled up copper filings. A search of Sinkfield’s person revealed a glass pipe containing a burnt white residue and burnt copper filings. Sinkfield was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and was charged with CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia and CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana.


Andre D’Vaughn Bradley, 45

Denetria Dena Phillips, 27

On May 1, 2021, Deputy W. McDowell conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 260 and Kidwell Lane in Owings, MD. While making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, Andre D’Vaughn Bradley, 45 of Washington D.C., and Denetria Dena Phillips, 27 of Washington D.C., a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed 15 pills and three plastic bags containing marijuana. Both Bradley and Phillips were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center. Phillips was charged with CDS: Possession-Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession Marijuana 10 GM+. Bradley was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana.
