Justin Chase Croce
Prince Frederick, MD – A Calvert County man who was previously convicted of a felony has been indicted by a grand jury for possession of a rifle, documents on file in Circuit Court stated. The defendant, identified as Justin Chase Croce, 34 of North Beach; was indicted Dec. 19. The two-count indictment charges Croce with possession of a rifle after conviction for a disqualifying crime and possession of a rifle after conviction of criminal laws. The latter count is a felony.
According to the indictment, Croce committed the weapon possession violation “on or about” Oct. 15. He had previously been convicted of possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substance.
A court summary states Croce is tentatively scheduled for an initial appearance before Judge Mark Chandlee Friday, Jan. 6. A summons was issued the day after the indictment was handed down.
