POMFRET, Md. – On Friday, June 6, 2025, a vehicle crashed through a wooded area and into a home on Marshalls Corner Road, leaving two women injured.
Police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the 7900 block of Marshalls Corner Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. First responders arrived to find a vehicle that had overturned and plowed into the side of a house.

EMS evaluated two adult female patients on the scene and requested a medevac for one due to the severity of their injuries. Maryland State Police Trooper 2 subsequently airlifted the patient to MedStar Trauma Center. The other patient was taken to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Crews checked the residence and determined no one inside the home was injured. The structure appeared vacant and did not suffer severe damage, but firefighters evaluated its integrity and secured nearby utilities as a precaution.

Command was terminated around 2:05 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
