On Dec. 21 TFC Bevard, Prince Frederick Barrack, took a report from Phillip Boyd, of Owings, in reference to a stolen vehicle.
Boyd advised that he had listed his GMC Yukon for sale and received a call from a man asking him about the vehicle. The man visited Boyd’s home and presented himself as James Taylor. He then presented Boyd with a bad cashier’s check from Andrews Federal Credit Union as payment for the Yukon.
Then, on Dec. 23 TFC Scott Bennett, Prince Frederick Barrack, took a report from Lindsey Shaner, of Chesapeake Beach, with regards to a stolen vehicle.
Shaner had also listed his GMC Yukon for sale and was contacted by the same “James Taylor.” The man came to Shaner’s residence, took the vehicle for a test drive and then presented her with a cashier’s check from Andrews Federal Credit Union.
The suspect is described as an African American male, 6 feet tall, weighing 220 lbs., with curly hair and gold front teeth.
Information was received from surrounding jurisdictions that Lester Aubrey Lee Jr., a subject who matches the description of the suspect in the above thefts was wanted in several counties for similar thefts.
