On Thursday, November 03, 2011 on Hardesty Road in Huntingtown, at approximately 6:00 am, there was a single vehicle accident where the vehicle went off the road into the woods approximately 60 feet where it made impact with medium size tree.ย  The car went over some smaller trees before making that impact.

As we know, with vehicle vs tree, the tree usually always wins as far as the vehicle goes. The tree wins again, but the two individualsย only sufferedย with what seems to be minor injuries with bruise and soreness and were transported to the hospital to be checked out further. As you can see by the pictures, the impact with tree went all the way up to the driverโ€™s steering wheel.ย ย

The Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance (Co. 6) responded to the call along with an ambulance from Dunkirk (Co.5).ย  The ambulance from Dunkirk was placed in service and the Huntingtown ambulance transported two individuals to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
