WALDORF, Md. – This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! 911 dispatchers and call-takers are the first people you talk to when you call for help. They are the calm voice on the other end of the line when incidents occur. They make sure people get the help they need, when they need it.

Their ability to remain calm, focused, and perform many tasks at once is critical to both the citizens who are on the phone and also to the police, fire, and EMS personnel who respond to the scene. Here are just a few of the hardworking men and women in Charles County who dedicate themselves to this important work.

Sheriff Berry and the men and women of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office would like to say THANK YOU to the Charles County 911 dispatchers and CCSO call takers. Your service and dedication are invaluable to public safety.
