
HUGHESVILLE, Md. – The Charles County Animal Care Center resumes normal operations today, Dec. 27. Animal Care Center staff temporarily paused operations on Monday, Dec. 2 after a contagious upper respiratory illness spread among animals in its care.
Animal Care staff worked with veterinary professionals throughout the outbreak and implemented enhanced cleaning protocols and protective measures to ensure a safe environment for both animals and staff and reduce the spread of the virus during the outbreak period.
The Animal Care Center will be open for business at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.
