WHITE PLAINS, Md. – On December 5, 2023, at approximately 5:54 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Billingsley Road in the area of St. Patricks Drive.
Upon arrival, crews discovered an 11-year-old male pedestrian in the roadway with multiple injuries, including possible fractures in both ankles. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
Emergency personnel assessed the patient and requested a MEDEVAC. Firefighters established a nearby landing zone for the MEDEVAC, and the child was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
