Commissioners Host FLW Outdoor Fishing Tournament at Smallwood State Park

The Charles County Commissioners are pleased to host an FLW Outdoors event at the Smallwood State Park on September 6-8.  This fishing tournament is one of Charles County’s most vital tourism attractions.  Fishing tournaments draw significant spending and promote Charles County’s tourism efforts.

On September 6-8, approximately 300 pros and co-anglers take to the Potomac River.  Anglers will take off from Smallwood State Park (2750 Sweden Point Road, Marbury) at 6:30 a.m. each day. Weigh-ins will be held at the takeoff site on Day 1 and 2 beginning at 2:30 p.m.  On Day 3, weigh-in will be held at Walmart (40 Drury Drive, La Plata) beginning at 4 p.m.  Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.
