On Wednesday, Oct. 17, the Charles County Commissioners proclaimed October 15-19, 2012, as Economic Development Week.ย  Accepting the proclamation, on behalf of the Maryland Economic Development Association, was Ms. Margaret Bollhurst (pictured, third from left).ย 

Charles County is promoting economic growth, job creation and revitalization in an effort to attract new businesses, support existing businesses and improve the lives of its citizens.ย  The county strives to create jobs, increase the local tax base and develop vibrant communities for businesses and citizens alike.ย 

The economic growth and stability of the state affects all regions and jurisdictions of Maryland. Charles County is an important component of the state’s economic success, and the Commissioners are highlighting those successes by hosting the 2012 Economic Development Summit.
